The purpose of proofreading is to fine-tune your final content to ensure that it is clean, consistent, and free of typographical errors that might distract readers.

I’ll focus on the following:
typos, repeated or missing words, extra or missing spaces
misspellings
links, media, and navigation work properly
page numbers and chapters correspond to table of contents and internal references
Depending on the complexity of your content, I typically do multiple passes to be as thorough as possible.
Style sheets are welcome! Global inconsistencies in style, formatting, capitalization, and hyphenation will be noted.
You’ll receive:
A Word document with tracked changes and comments and queries for your review
A summary email or document that details the style choices made

Each project is different, so rates will depend on the quality of the source material, the type of service we agree on, and the scope of the project. Before I begin work, I’ll provide an estimate based on a sample you provide and the information you share during our initial consultation about your goals and expectations.
Fees may be hourly or charged on a word count or per project basis depending on length and complexity of content.
Short documents are welcome; minimum fees will apply. Sample edits, if applicable, will not be conducted on short documents.
