> About Me
I’m a trained copyeditor, proofreader, and project manager who’s been working with words for more than 20 years. Over my career, I’ve gained professional experience and expertise through in-house roles at two book and journal publishing services companies and as a journals production coordinator at Duke University Press. I’ve worked with a wide range of content and genres, from highly detailed textbook pages to online courses to product labels and promotional material. I bring this expertise, along with a sense of humor and a collaborative spirit, to my work with my clients.
The fox in my logo was inspired by my love of animals—and fonts. I’ve seen the “quick brown fox” pangram (a sentence that contains every letter of the alphabet) more times and in more fonts than I can count. I’d be hard pressed to choose a favorite font or animal.

Training & Certification
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and two editing certificates from the Poynter Institute, and recently completed a yearlong Specialized Copyediting certificate program at UC-San Diego Extension. While specialized training and certifications aren’t necessary to be a good editor—but it provides an edge many benefits.
